My current state of leadership

    Motivation is the process that accounts for an individual’s effort toward reaching a goal. Giving a maximum effort will be recognized in personal appraisal. In order to get better development, the effects of goal setting become necessary, motivate people become a problem as well.

    For my current state of leadership, fist of all, is about competing values, according to the result of competing values, I prefer to be a broker and innovator, which connect with vision and adaptability closely; in my daily life, I am person who have ideas first when we did team work, so I think I am a creative person. Base on the past team work experience, when group communication together, I seldom make decision by myself, due to it is team work, I would like to make decision with other team members.

    Second, the most important practices reflecting a fundamental state of leadership is responsibility, vision and adaptive, in a group work, I always responsible for individual part, and pay more attention on group final decision; with the advantage of vision, I could provide much different ideas to a group.

In addition, I am an agreeableness person; I believe good communication will have good reflection; therefore, I am friendliness and empathy. Sometimes, if others and I have different points, I could stand at opposite side, think about others first, compare two different views, use the same points of view, combine the different part, to make the final decision in the end.

    Third, when refer to what motivates me? It’s goal. Sometimes, goals tell everyone what needs to be done and how much effort will need to be expected. Refer to the relative need strengths relate to my behavior and interests, I would like to base on my experiences, when I doing my academic work, if I am interested in my goals, I could pay much time in it. According to analysis myself with personality and characteristics, the score shows my ability, and I know good ability let me become more confidant. For other two assessments, I task myself patient enough, I can focus on one thing for a long time, even face trouble, so base on this results and my current state of leadership, I review problem carefully until find out problems and solve it every time, however, I lack the strength of optimistic attitude, always show up pessimistic. In order to have a good leadership, I need improve my self-efficacy, such as correct strengths that I uncovered, practice a lot, it could have more contribution for my self-efficacy.
