Assignment B

1. (a)

As I am fighting and scraping my suitcase, across my bedroom floor. Laughing with excitement I look around my bedroom, I think I am ready to go. Someone shouts my name, I run and peer over the bannister. When I realise I have left something, Once in my room I can not remember what it was, I forgot. As I stand in my room I become aware of the window, which is fully open. The wind is blowing the curtains and light and making it feel really cold.

1. (b)

The Postman had arrived and handed me a pack of letters, there on the top was my letter from the university. Holding it tightly in my hands I kept looking at the university logo in the top left hand corner. Would this be good news or would this knock me? This was were I had wanted to go since I can remember, my brother and sister was there and my whole heart wanted this so much. My mum looked at me “ Is that from the university” she said excitedly. I just looked and smiled, nodding my head. I felt anxious and my hands started sweating as I slowly opened this life changing letter. Taking a deep breath I began to read, my face started to change, the worried look slowly moved to a warm huge smile. I had done it, I was in, a sense of joy and excitement washed over me. I sighed with a warm relief, “ I will have to contact my brother and sister and let them know I will be joining them” I said smiling.

From that moment on everything just seemed to fly by like a whirlwind, preparing everything and making sure everything was in place. My brother and sister helped an awful amount sorting out my accommodation and making sure everything was just right. The summer holidays had arrived and so to had my brother and sister back for the holidays. This would be our final break before I was to join them, I would be travelling back with them this time.

2 (a)

I arrived at Hill House Hotel entering through a grand wrought iron gate which lead to a long clear gravelled drive. On the way up the drive looking directly in front, this magnificent building which stood very proud within it's own well kept grounds. Large impressive windows allowed plenty of light through, with a very extravagant door leading you into the hotel reception.
