Wireless Technology Proposal

In today’s technological world the marketplace has become very competitive. Party Plates need an innovative approach to establish a competitive business to enhanced marketing tools, objectives, and sales. Updating to newer technologies gives Party Plates advantages for faster services for our customers and increased productivity. This will also aid Party Plates to operate more effectively and efficiently. The two wireless technologies that we want to implement into Party Plates business are Global Positioning System (GPS) and cell phones.

A Global Positioning System (GPS) is a wireless navigation system that uses satellites to aid individuals to find a location any place on earth. Party Plates must have an edge on other businesses in order to sustain in today’s business environment. GPS offer many advantages for Party Plates such as controlling profits, operations, employees, assets, customer service efforts, and ease of navigation ("Can GPS Cell Phones Help Your Business?” 2011).

Cell phones are indispensable wireless devices for employees and business owners. Party Plates must incorporate this essential tool in their business. Cell Phones offer many advantages for Party Plates, for example, creating more business opportunities, check e-mail, enhance employee performance, and facilitating reliable contact among customers, employees, and employers ("Using Cell Phones in Your Business for Your Business," 2011).

Although GPS and cell phones can enhance a business performance they can also become a distraction. For example, cost, satellite system can go down, reception, inaccurate directions, potential accidents, employees making personal phones calls during work hours, and texting.

Although there are a few risks, as aforementioned, with implementing these wireless technologies, the benefits outweigh them for use within our sales department. Our department will surely thrive with the
