Training Key Areas

Training key areas are the basis for proper professional, educational programs. These intentions are beneficial to the importance of training staff, Kohl’s Illinois, Inc., and why becoming engaged with these areas is essential. This paper will identify three key training areas in Kohl’s Illinois, Inc.: legal requirements, diversity, and employee personal growth. The benefits grown by properly implementing the trainings will be addressed. Subsequently, the paper will discuss how the programs meet professional as well as personal employee needs. Finally, there will be an explanation as to how these programs answer the organization’s and employees’ motivational needs.

Legally Required Training

To develop the right training program, Kohl’s has to consider all possibilities including legalities because of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commissions (EEOC). The company must comply with a sleuth of regulations to by demonstrating that employees have completed trainings and are applying their knowledge to their position. Because of previous destitutions which others faced in history, employees are protected by the Civil Rights Act, and more specifically Title VII. This makes sure that Kohl’s extends equal developmental programs to its employees not limited to gender, color, race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, or nationality. Each employee will be able to comprehend the necessity of respect to one another because of Title VII.
           
The Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) stands for legality backing discrimination against employees aged 40 and older, and is also enforced by the EEOC. The 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) considers it illegal to compromise the workplace for employees with mental and physical disabilities. The ADA enforces companies to create reasonable adjustments to the condition of a person with a disability. This person is already qualified for employment at Kohl’s. Each and every training must be made available to Kohl’s employees with disabilities. The managerial stuff will also make sure each trainee is handed a fair chance provide feedback.

Any and all personal and religious beliefs must remain outside of Kohl’s doors. This is to protect the company, and envelop a positive learning environment. If a training exercise has potential to cause injury to an employee, Kohl’s will be liable. However, if there are proper warnings and explanations of danger to the employees prior to the exercise, along with correct safety equipment, then no harm, no foul. Subsequently, Kohl’s understands that employees participating in these exercises are competent and can perform the duties without risk.
