For every tree that is cut down, Colney & Pitts will plant two of the same tree in another forest that has been devastated by poachers, this measure will only cost $37,500. Colney & Pitts has also provisioned to use advanced farming techniques such as marcotting and sustainable harvesting at a combined cost of $90,000. Marcotting is a method of propagation in which the branches of the tree are induced to take root while still attached to the tree, then can be planted as its own tree. These techniques will be able to expand the population of trees in the forest, as well as available trees available for harvest. Colney & Pitts will also set aside $45,0000 of their budget to encourage farmers
