Teenagers all over the world share common

lifestyles. Teens in the United States and Europe are similar because in both areas teens place importance on fashion, and in both areas teens use drugs or participate in drug related activities. However, teens in these areas are different because in Europe a higher level of importance is placed on education, and teens in Europe are given more freedom as adults to make their own decisions.

Teens in Europe and in the U.S. are similar because

In both areas teens place an extremely high importance on fashion.

Teens will spend hundreds of dollars to mimic the latest trends.

Constantly watching TV and looking in magazines at celebrities never to fall behind in their world of fashion. Also, in both areas teens are using drugs or participating in drug related activity. The most regularly used drug amongst teens in both areas is alcohol and cannabis. The alcohol consumption rate by teens is the highest they've ever been. Which is increasing the rate of accidents and deaths of teens.

Teens in the U.S. and Europe differ because,

a higher level of importance is put on education in Europe than in America. Students in Europe take eleven classes every course, whereas students in America take four classes a course. Students in Europe also have to take at least three languages a course and in some schools in America students have a choice to take any language. Furthermore, teens in Europe are different from teens in the U.S. because, teens in Europe are granted more freedom as adults. These teens are able to purchase alcohol at the age of 16 oppose to in the U.S. where you have to be 21 years of age to purchase alcohol. Teens in America depend on their parents for
