Snapchat is a unique service offering that uses both pictures and videos to engage users to their selective audience. Snapchat is a simple/user-friendly application that has gained mass amounts of attention due to it’s creativity and innovations. As Snapchat customer base continues to grow, some solutions to their problems can start to be resolved with some financial help. Attracting new investors with advertisement opportunities to bring in more cash is a suitable start. A quick solution to new entrants in the social media industry starts with continuing innovations and improvements to the Snapchat app. More color schemes, features, and unique changes will refrain the Snapchat app from looking the same every time a user signs on.  One way for Snapchat to slow down or even drive away the negative reports that surface from critics about cyber bullying and offensive messages, is to educate their users. Snapchat should use its wide range of users to promote good causes and educate users about other the negative impacts of cyber bullying and ways to prevent it from occurring.

        Another solution includes having a permanent office set-up. Snapchat doesn’t have a normal headquarters office in Venice Beach, California. Instead, Snapchat has a series of private houses/little offices their CEO can drive in-between. The idea of not having a designed headquarters may have a negative impact on employee morale. With a designated headquarters, Snapchat can encourage more group therapy sessions for its staff. An increased desire for higher security among users will solve the problem of users not feeling secure enough to save their photos and videos to Snapchat.

        A further solution includes supporting those who are struggling for survival in third world countries instead of most profits going to Snap Foundation. Snapchat established its own charity in 2017 and have been under scrutiny about how they spread their wealth. Setting their priorities would help gain the leadership needed to institute a positive outlook on the company. Another problem Snapchat faces daily is their business founders are notorious for avoiding the media and any personal publicity relating to the company. Instead of treating the media as some sort of enemy, embrace the media as a chance to make a change and promote greater causes. Their current state does not allow any outsiders to get to know the character of the men in charge of the company. A solution to this problem would be to allow more communication with the media and allow them to gain a better understanding of the leaders of Snapchat. Allow the public to buy-in to the company leader and in return gain a relationship and customer loyalty. The company is currently at risk of users choosing other forms of communication such as Facebook or Instagram, and one way to avoid this problem would be to allow users to buy into the company’s leaders.
