What are the major issues at Mathews & Company regarding their CRM plans?

The major issues that Mathews & Company had regarding their CRM plans was that the program was too large of a caliber to implement easily and immediately. The main issue of this was the time of implement- 2 years. This is a very large amount of time for someone to invest and wait for a possible return. There was also a chance that a return is not guaranteed. Since there was no proof that a CRM system like this would work, the heads of the company did not want to invest their money and take a chance where the result will only be in 2 years .Barry also did not include some of the things that people in te company wanted in the CRM program. He should have made sure that he had something to impress each head of the company, not just his ideas. The system that Barry envisioned was also quite large, it would take a lot of man power to implement and could not be done without massive IT work and time. If Barry would have presented smaller- scale ideas of that caliber and lead to the big picture that he was envisioning, it would have sat better with the management since they could see the return sooner with a smaller amount of money.
