The most effective way to grow a company globally is to find out the most information possible about your potential new business liason. When the new client or partner is in India it becomes more of a relationship than a business deal. Although there is much more to uncover about this ancient civilization, the information compiled will be extremely helpful in establishing a long and prosperous business relationship with your Indian counterpart.

India, the 7th largest country with the largest democratic society, but where heirarchical thought process impacts every aspect of Indian life. It is imperitive to understand this to make working in India less costly and more efficient. Knowing that the “boss” is unquestoned as the senior figure who likely makes all the final decisions. It would be a waste of time to spend courting middle management in India. Also expect no business to take place on your initial meeting since they place great value on inter personal relationships, and to them time is eternal so expect delays and interruptions. Be aware that it is difficult for them to say “no”, but that is likely what is meant is they are being vague with their decisions, but don’t ever be pushy or show anger, as that would scare them away.

India’s economy is the world’s 10th largest economic country in many areas like “Nominal GDP”, “Purchasing Power Parity”. Within few years India represented itself as a country having a strong economy and very fast growing. India’s political system runs under the “Parliamentary System,” which covers all 28 state and all 7 union territories. The money is the Rupee, the main religion is Hindu and the universal language of educated Indians is English.
