Self esteem is a feeling you have about yourself. Whether you feel high or low it's self esteem. aome people think mighty about themselves. They think that they can conquer the world while others think that they aren't worth anything. They feel low and down about themselves. They start to believe that they are worthless and doesn't mean anything to the world. I think everyone is special. God made each and everyone of us for a purpose. Having high self esteem can bring about a positive society. This applies to sociology. As the book states "Sociology is the systematic study of human society and social interaction. If you're feeling down about yourself you can't interact with others because you might have a mindset on thinking that they feel as if you're worthless too. Then you might go into a depression because you think you have no value. Low self esteem cannot just affect your behavior but other individuals as well. How you feel about yourself shouldn't affect others but it does. By you feeling low that can affecr others and make them feel low. As for example, if you're the CEO of a company and you're always depressed your company won't make it that far in business because in people's minds they will think "They're company is always down so we don't want to work with them. We want a company that's energetic and fun and have confidence in itself". By having high self esteem you can go places. People will always think that you're happy all the time and you have great confidence in yourself. They would qant to work with you. For example, if you're a runway model you can't go down the runway thinking you're not "IT". You have to have that look, that confidence, that high self esteem so you can be the greatest.
