To prescribe universal rights to all within a society is basically suicide; it harms the society’s ability to provide flexibility in response to emergencies, therefore hindering human prosperity. Can we really rely on women in the mining industry, one that requires extreme brawn? There is no such thing as biological equality and thus we should not expect to be given the exact same rights as someone next to us. However, we can exercise a fair attitude towards those whose opinions, religion, social status, nationality and so differ from our own. Building an inclusive and tolerant society is very possible, and this is how we can start.

Our society can be compared to a human body. Every human, like each cell, has a particular function in the body. The white blood cells protect the body against infectious diseases and foreign substances like how the police force protects us from internal threats and the army protecting us from external threats. Without white blood cells, the body is prone to more diseases like how the society will be more prone to crime without the police force. Neurons process and transmit information like how postmen deliver letters to us. The brain has control over how the body works just like how the government has control over how a nation is run.

Now, you may ask, ‘isn’t the brain more important than let’s say, the gall bladder?’ That is not wrong. However, each organ or cell has an equal importance in ensuring our survival. Without the gall bladder to store bile, fat digestion in the body will not be as efficient. Organs work together to ensure the human body functions properly. The digestive system works to provide energy so that the muscles can allow us to move and maintain our posture while the nervous system controls the body and warns of any threats so that the body can react.

An ideal society would be one that functions like the human body, not trying to overshadow each other, but instead works together harmoniously towards a common goal, human advancement and world peace.
