I personally would oppose to the tax credit for the simple reason that there will be lack of competition. If there was no competition in this business then I think an average person won’t be able to pay for his/her health insurance costs because it would be really high. Byallowing the competition in the market place it definitely gives more benefit to the consumers whereas Health care reform, affordable care act is so complex to understand that it requires prior knowledge and plenty of time to comprehend the system. However, according to my understanding that the new health care market provides the consumers tocompare different insurance providers and allows them to make an informed decision towards their health insurance. In this system, there are some benefits which were not provided in the previous health system such as the age of a child and when this child can be removed from the parent’s plan. For example, in the previous health system a child will have to be removed from the parent’s plan at the age of 21 but now the new affordable care act helps keep the child on the parent’s plan until the age of 26. It goes without saying anything about the contraceptive issue, which made headlines on the newspapers and on the air for so long and it was not covered under the old health care system. Contraception was a major issue that needed to be addressed because of the high teenage pregnancy rate and prochoice for women to choose to have a child or not. I personally think that contraception should have been given under the preventive care in the old health system but now it is covered under the Obama affordable care act and it is included under the free preventative care which is a game changer for women who wanted to have choice in what they want and when they want. Another problem that existed was that insurance companies didn’t have to cover the preexisting conditions for aperson and this issue has also been addressed under the Obama care in which insurance

companies have to cover patients
