The children in this move have lived most of their lives missing some of the most basic needs suggest for raising children. One of the most prominent unmet needs was their safety. They live in one room with their whole family that their mothers also work out of. The "clients" usually consist of drunken men who can be abusive at times and are allowed to just walk in an out like a seven eleven store. The children are exposed every day to unsavory people and a sever lack of supervision. They also face the lack of basic biological needs that are suggested for children to survive. These children have no real personal space, a lack of proper medical care, and a lack of proper sleep due to type of work their mothers have to do to support them and give them what little they are able. The photographer tried to help fulfill some of the children's unmet needs. She became friends with them and started to look out for them and try to offer a choice other than the brothel. She started teaching them photography which gave them many learning experiences and a creative outlet.

These children show amazing emotional strength an open minded willingness to learn. These two strengths help them every day to become better than they are. The emotional strength helps them to forgive the life they were born into and fight for a better life. The open minded willingness to learn gives them the ability to create a possible better life for themselves.

The photographer in this movie was presented a opportunity to help empower these kids to a point where they could leave the brothel. She took the time to teach these children about photography which offered them a chance to learn an create a better future. These children were so good there photographs were put in to shows. This allowed for people all over the world to see them and it also offered them the opportunity to sell the photos and raise money for them to go to boarding schools and prepare for a better future.
