All of the characters, Adam, Eve, Equality, and the Golden One were either expelled from or left their societies. In the story of Adam and Eve, they ate the forbidden fruit that God told them to not to eat. God then expelled them from the Garden of Eden. In the novella Anthem by Ayn Rand, Equality and the Golden One committed actions they shouldn't of that made them have to leave their society.
