Being that George Orwell was essentially a political writer, who focused his attention on his own times, he based his book "1984" on what times where or what the future could be.

George Orwell, was influenced and inspired by totalitarian. Orwell wrote "1984" while seriously ill with tuberculosis.

Orwell commented that if he had not been so ill, the book might not have been so bleak. The book "1984" has been adapted to both television shows and movies

. In the book "1984' the world is divided into three countries that include a entire globe: Oceania, Eurasia, and Eastasia

. They are all a totalitarian society led by Big Brother. Winston is the main character and wants to secretly join Brotherhood.

Winston meets a girl name Julia and secretly falls in love with her. In the novel there is an Inner-Party which one of the characters O'Brien is apart of.

In this book everyone is equal and no can think for themselves. In the novel "1984" George Orwell states many points leading to Destruction of Human Values such as, everyone having to eat the same things, wear the same clothes, live the same exact way, and follow the same exact rules.

No one in the novel could be their own individual person. The sign Big Brother is Watching You (Orwell, 47) is proper evidence of it. The quote relates to the topic because it simply is saying follow the rules given because someone is watching you. The people in the book "1984"saw this quote and were reminded every time that they were being watched. The quote was every where they went and it only showed them that they had no freedom. Everyone knew they where being watched and no one person could do different then what the rules where. The quote told people that if they do not follow the rules someone was coming to get them.
