Key Concepts

Now a days, when project management methods may differ, the most common dominator about project manager is the responsibility of managing all phases of project. Discipline of project management established from numerous fields of application including civil construction, engineering, and hefty defense activities (Walker). While on the other hand academic disciplines amplified by the development of knowledge which used in problem solving those are linked with development, production and distribution of goods and services (Meredith). Consequently, ground-breaking theories, leanings and challenges discovered through exploring associated disciplines of project management have important allegations and divisions in the future of project management. Project management disciplines consist on eight keys; stakeholder management, risk management, issues management, resources management, task management, quality management (according to scope of project), project change control and project team management.

In my opinion the talent of taking uncertainty and changing it into a reality called project management. In project management precincts are demarcated and project manager (practical) needed or expected to deliver within those demarcates.

In early days of projects, even in my personal case, being a project manager knows as “Accidental Profession. Therefor we have to tackles a lot of un-counted risks and challenges during project execution which did not take in accounting in planning phase. Usually project manager think about “triple-constraints” model of scope, cost and time, but in actual there are eight mentioned earlier in last paragraph.

Now a days Project managers can have the responsibility of the planning, execution, and closing of any project (Walker). This exponential growth is indicative of the rapid growth in the use of projects, but also reflects the importance of the PMI as a force in the development of project management as a profession.

According to project management ethics as far as project manager in practical following the project management code of ethics, project manager will assuredly complete project successfully within defined demarcates (Meredith).
