School uniforms have been the topic of many discussions from different city to city. Memphis City Schools are the only student that has to wear uniforms in Memphis Tennessee. The students have a choice of three colors. Students would prefer not to wear uniforms if given the choice. Some of the benefits of schools uniforms are safety, cost, and convenience.

While at school, safety should not be a concern for a parent or their child. By wearing uniforms, children do not have to deal with gang colors or logos. They do not have to worry about bullying because of their cloths. Allowing students to wear uniforms provides less of a distraction while in class. They also do not have to worry about wearing the wrong colors since everyone is dressed the same.

School uniforms can be as costly as regular cloths, but uniforms last longer and they serve as a form of discipline for students. The cost is very important during this lifetime for parents. Many charities and churches give away uniforms for parents that cannot afford them. Different stores have sales or deals on schools uniforms to give parents a break when buying them. School uniform takes away the temptation to spend money on cloths that parents cannot afford.

A school uniform makes it very easy for the child in the morning and threw the week. Students spend less time picking out what to wear because of the limited choices. School uniforms makes shopping for schools cloths less time consuming. The schools uniforms help teachers keep track of students when out away from the school. Uniforms are available at almost any store and at any mall.

School uniforms can help to reduce gang violence in schools. They can also take the stress away from parents that spend what they do not have so their child won’t be picked on.
