Reflection Assignment

Let me start of by saying that I never thought that this assignment would be such a reality check. It actually opened my eyes and made me realize how much stuff I still have to go thru and plan for my future. I am a very independent person, I pay me bill and work and go to school and all that, but I obviously am trying to become a better person and succeed in life like most people. For mu future goal I would love to finally graduate and become a General Manager. I like any other human being would love to have a brand new car and stop paying for rent therefore I would like to buy a house. I have actually been thinking of buying a house before I graduate, but after this assignment I realized I am not ready yet, neither financially, not mentally. I thought it was as easy as just applying for a loan and paying for it. I never even thought of those little things such as taxes or insurance, waste charges. Those are things I do not pay as a renter. I have also realized that I would probably like to purchase my car in full, rather than getting a loan. Just by looking at the insurance quote that the website gave me. Apparently I will have to get a full coverage, which is like 3 times the one I pay, just because the car is not mine until I pay it off. I feel like I have learned not to be quick in getting loans as well and learning as much information about what you are getting into. The only information I didn’t find useful was the tax portion. I really didn’t get a point of it, however I would love to hear from people that did benefit from it and see in which way. Also I feel like I would of like the reflection assignment to be in a discussion mode, where we would have to post a reflection and maybe comment on other people’s reflection. I feel like this might even be more beneficial. Overall thought I feel like it is a good assignment and I think that planning ahead and setting your goals helps you reach this goal faster.
