1. EXECUTIVE SUMMERY

Our company wants to launch a new type of chips in the market which is totally different from the traditional chips. It is a high quality chips which is not as harmful as the other existing chips in the market. The product will have some special ingredients which will provide nutrition. As there is no such kind of chips in the existing market, it will definitely create an appeal as an exclusive product to the customers. The target market of our product is the people who think that chips are harmful for health, those who are health conscious, and the current consumers of chips. Our chips will provide some exceptional tastes which will provide much benefit to health also. We will also ensure the customers that there is no chemical color in our chips.

After analyzing the market demand we have seen that there is a demand in the market for this kind of product. After doing the SWOT analysis we have seen that the company has a great opportunity to launch a product like this. Though a few risk is involved in the particular market. Being a new product in the market there exists a chance of rejection by the consumers. The market is highly competitive. Considering all the possible threats we can assume that it will be profitable to enter in the chips market because there are some positive sides of our product and our product quality is also strong. After estimating the cost and sales we can say that it will be profitable. So the higher authority should consider this marketing plan.

2. CURRENT MARKET SITUATION

As from the perspective of consumption Bangladesh is an underdeveloped country. The consumer product market is very lucrative in Bangladesh. The Government pays attention to the industrial and private sector and helps establishing new business. The legal condition is also quite favorable in case of launching a new product in the market. The fast growing market of middle-class consumers encouraged private manufacturing companies to launch innovative consumer products.

Competition among the private companies in the country is high. There are several local giant companies who have created a brand image of their consumer products in the market. There is a good demand of processed food products in the city areas of the country. Among them chips is very popular in the urban areas and some parts of the rural areas also. Chips has a good acceptance in Bangladesh. Children and young people are the main consumers of chips. The chips industry has a highly potential market. The population is growing fast and the demand for chips is also increasing. The existing chips producers will not be able to meet the full demand of the market.
