Introduction

The purpose of the project is the entrepreneurial case investigation, which is based on the complex mastering of the material and research methods, as well as the systematization, expansion and consolidation of theoretical and practical knowledge.

The main aim of this project is to analyze the entrepreneurial phenomenon through the prism of the theoretical material, outlined in the articles and lectures of the course as well as application of analytical methods in practice, ability to summarize results, make clear and substantiated conclusions, develop communication skills.

This work will be based on the four theories that will be closely related to an entrepreneurial case.

Case description

The company of “Holofil” was a target for our investigation.

In order to investigate the company's activities It was decided to interview  the CEO and founder of the company, Mr. Mrunal Gawade. The results of following  interview were analyzed and presented in accordance with  theoretical materials in the main body.

For the research, both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods were used. Face-to-face indepth interview with prepared questionnaire was chosen as the basis of our work. In addition, the website of “Holofil” and required articles were used as well. All the extra sources will be available in the attachments.  

Discussion

Holofil is the 3D visualization product, launched by Dr. Mrunal Gawade. Holofil creates a "Hybrid reality" where you can mix physical objects with virtual objects to create a visual impression. Idea of “Holofil” started as a fun project during PhD. The real idea came up 2 years ago. The product of “Holofil” was launched in March 2017. It took less than 1 year from the very beginning till the product launch.

The product of “Holofil” is used for:

  • branding (in order to catch customer’s attention);
  • product exploration (in order to visualize product performance)
  • home decoration (interior upgrading)
  • learning purposes (student’s interest improvement)
  • gaming
  • customer engagement
  • showreel (possibility of creating different 3D visualizations)

The company’s office locates in the Science Park of Amsterdam. Mr. Gawade is a founder of Science Park creatives. This is a community platform to bring together students, professionals, scientists, and entrepreneurs with an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset. Based in Amsterdam Science Park with worldwide collaborations the platform has more than 225 members and this number is increasing day by day.
