Problem/Summary: “Can Apple compete without their founder?”

        With the fairly recent passing of their visionary founder, Steve Jobs, the technology company “Apple” fears for its global dominance across the globe. Many worry that Apple’s image and ideas were solely that of Jobs’ and that without his guidance the tech company may not be able to use their strategic market advantage of creating innovative products as optimally as it was under his leadership. Though this is mostly speculation as the company thrived for 12 years without Steve Jobs at the helm.

Solutions:

  1. Apple is synonymous with consumer tech products in the modern market. Their market share and influence is undeniable. In fact, according to “Stastita.com” they are the world’s most valuable brand. Therefore my theory is Apple is showing no signs of slowing down even with the premature death of their visionary. If Time Cook steers Apple in the direction it has been moving in there should be no cause for worry as long as they continue to improve their flagship product line.

  1. Technology is the fastest changing industry in the world market. Innovation is the best tool to keep your company ahead of the rest, if you can make the “next big thing” you will strike gold in this sector as Apple has been doing with its revolutionary products. While Apple’s product line currently in place is holding a strong lead in amongst its competitors it does not mean they can afford to slow down. My solution would be to continue to stretch the limit on what Apple provides its customers by breaking down development barriers such as Google has. It would serve Apple well to break into new technology sectors such as: robotics, artificial intelligence, automobiles, health tech, ect.

Conclusion:

I would pitch my second solution. Apple has the resources to expand as a technology company further diversifying their brand. With the funding they have and the right minds and development plans the new products and services could go far beyond what they provide now. This would hopefully increase profit share and influence across new and familiar industrial sectors further solidifying Apple as an innovation leader of the world.
