Story:  Growing up with Chethak

  9. She felt liberated (Image B)
  10. Remembers father as a hero, took him out of the stressed environment (Image G)
  11. Father buys Chethak , He felt it was a vehicle fit for him, Fit for a hero (image C)
  12. Father always took the family in scooter (Image I)
  13. He felt like travelling in (Image H)
  14. He had fun with his friends (Image J) who all idolized the scooter
  15. He remembered why he wanted the Chethak , it was the ageless vehicle, vehicle for all time . Modern yet classic (ImageK)


The Scooter for every hero in us.

Odd enough Rahul could never appreciate the façade created by the new bikes of today’s era. Given that they were sporty and fast, however they couldn’t relate to his persona; the persona of an honest mature man, who did not stand around for ceremonies, but jumped right into the action. No labour was above him or beneath him. Rahul personified the men who shaped the future of the nation. [pic 1]

As for Rahul he dreamed about a vehicle that stood for the same values, something instilled in him by his father, a staunch believer of truth and justice. One who was not afraid of standing up for what’s right. He reminisced how his mother would tell him stories that inspired most of Rahul’s youth.

As Rahul recalled, his mother was brought up in a much protected environment, an atmosphere that bellowed norms of tradition at every corner. Traditional values where trust upon her with the pretext of valued heritage. She was able to learn from the good but regretted the bad. To her these were more of golden shackles that restricted her thoughts and actions. [pic 4]

The pressures of these meaningless traditions amplified overtime. With her personal choice and freedom long forgotten, she was ushered into paths that no longer made any sense in this day and age. She was forced to perform actions against her will, her protests turned to deaf ears. However Rahul’s father intervened, and was able to break her free from ruthless traditions that held no moral value. And like a knight in shining armour Rahul imagined his father for the true person that he was, the hero who liberated his mother nevertheless kept the modernity amongst tradition. [pic 5]
