If I Stay: Book Vs. Movie

If I stay is a YA book about a teenage girl named Mia. She is a talented cellist, has parents who are very involved in her life, a younger brother, and a rocker boyfriend who she is madly in love with. But before she knows it her whole life flashes before her eyes when her whole family and her included get in a car accident. Mia wakes up at the scene of the car accident only to see her parents’ dead and then herself laying in the snow unconscious. She sees her brother die later in the hospital and she is left in coma. At this point Mia realizes that it is her decision if she wants to keep fighting for her life or go with her family. Throughout the book there are many flashbacks, which tell you of her life. You learn more about her boyfriend and family and how she applied for Julliard. In the end of the book she decides to stay.

The movie is actually a lot like the book. They kept the same settings and the characters developed a lot like they did in the book. This brings me to the point that movie focused more on her and Adams relationships more than anything, While the book had more of
