  1. Abstract:

Currently, modern technology is a vital factor in the development and evolution of a society with a thirst for improvement. Relatively, the contribution of technology is essential in all areas, but it is essential when it comes to medicine. There exist a relationship between medicine and technology, since the management of the medical equipment of high complexity is part of the technological advances that have been made over time (Anastasio, 2013).

In recent years, technology has been characterized by boom in the rapid advancement of science. Technological development has led to an amazing change in medicine. The advancement has allowed to know an infinite number of processes that explain why many diseases, events that occur in the human body and the consequences related to the environment.

Thanks to the technology, the practice of medicine has been the optimal conditions for the patients in any surgical intervention (Anastasio, 2013).

Currently, professionals may come to use technological advances not only to heal, but also to prevent disease; and subsequently for all kinds of medical research, which has made important discoveries. Experts have addressed the incorporation of technological advances in the practice of medicine, so it is expected a radical change in medical science in the future (Anastasio, 2013).

Currently, the contribution of technology is fundamental in all areas, but essential when it comes to medicine. There exists relationship between medicine and technology, since the management of the medical equipment of high complexity is part of the technological advancements. Medical technology has been characterized by rapid advancement of science. Currently, all these technologies advance at a pace so fast that for those who dedicate themselves to using them find it hard to keep abreast of its emergence and utilities, without taking into account the direct experience with them (Parker,2011).

  1. Examples of Novel and future Emergency Medicine technologies and their impact on the quality of care:

Numerous novel and future technologies have the potential to beneficially impact emergency medicine although their efficacy within the field will be determined by the relevant medical practitioner work practices within different organizational, professional, and physical contexts in emergency medicine. An example of the high level of use and development that have reached technological applications in the field of the health sciences is telemedicine, concept that can be defined as the use of electronic signals to transfer or Exchange medical information from one place to another, remotely and in real time (Parker, 2011).
