While there are those who believe there has been a distinct improvement in our lifestyles because of the Internet there are also those who complain about the negative effects of the World Wide Web. This essay will examine both sides of the argument.

The Internet, as we know it, has been a huge influence in our everyday life, particularly towards adolescents. One of the greatest advantages of the Internet would be acquiring instant access to information. Accurately speaking, adolescents were able to accomplish projects and assignments on time due to the information they are able to found without difficulty. To obtain information in the past, people would have to single-handedly find that particular information. Reading from one book to another, asking for people’s opinions to gather information would be strenuous. Nowadays, people are able to easily type in what they wanted to know and immediately gain access to it. It was acknowledged that there had been an increase in grades at schools that possesses an access towards the Internet.

Another advantage of the Internet would be communication. It would give people great difficulty in recalling moments when they still communicate through handwritten letters. With the ubiquitous Internet, people have the ability to send letters amazingly easier with the use of email. People all over the globe are able to communicate to one another with just the utility of emails. Further more, communication on cyberspace has been made even more manageable with the invention of social networks. Social networks are mostly used to either interact with people you know or to interact with people you just met. With all these communication services online, life is not as complicated as before.

However, these advantages may change into disadvantages as well. One of the most prominent disadvantages would be cyber bullying. Cyber bullying is one of the leading causes of suicide. This could be taken
