The view book “Discover Your Future” mainly introduced the basic information about Case Western Reserve University. It covered both studying and living facilities in or around the campus. The potential audience is the students who are going to study at Case, so the book is an overall guide about the whole school. This essay mainly focuses on the two-pages section in the book called of “Home Sweet Home”, which briefly demonstrates the place that the campus located and its surroundings.

This section contains two major parts: “A place of opportunity” and “In the heart of it all.” The first part lists several main fun locations in Cleveland and gives some word and picture descriptions of them. For example, the Downtown is the epicenter of the whole Cleveland, and its home to PlayHouseSqure, three major sports teams, and the Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. At the very bottom of the page there is a panorama of Cleveland, which is from the view of the teaching buildings of Case Western Reserve University in the Downtown and the lake. The picture impressed people because it’s so spectacular that people cannot tell how many buildings in it. Also, the picture was taken under the sunshine so the buildings in it were all warm colors. It reflects the theme of “Home”, since it illustrate the feeling of peace and harmony. The second part of this section is a map that offers the audience a visual tour that specifically point out five attractions in University Circle. Moreover, in the five attractions, three of them are museums. The book takes the advantages of the location of the campus, and they imply that the school is surrounded by a sense of art and culture, which is a perfect place to study.

The logo of the section is “Home Sweet Home”. It mainly demonstrates the message of “Home” and describes it as “Sweet Home”. The logo shows that Case wants it students feel like being home and the surroundings around Case would
