Honey making high atop downtown Minneapolis?

In the Minneapolis local Southwest Journal, there was an article discussing about a Minneapolis City Council change in beehives being used in commercial buildings. The new proposal would allow the beehives to be in an open roof free place but, difficult for commercial buildings to put hives on top of their buildings with having to have the consent from 80 percent of neighbors within 100 feet compare to the consent requirement if a rooftop beehive is at least 15 feet from another building. If this is past this would give not only the bees more room and space but, it would also provide homes for more bees and subsequently result in more honey and pollination. At this time there are 28 permitted beehives in the city right now which consist of mostly parks, schools and community gardens. My thoughts and feelings on this article shows that the environment in this city is really looking at ways to not only help but, looking to save what makes our source of natural honey.
