I read an article, which is speculating about causes and effects. So, I would like to analyze the causes and effects for immigration in the US. To begin with, wars and political problems can be the causes. Many people live in countries with governments that are corrupt, having too much debt to other nations to help out their own people or in a state of war. So, people in these countries dream of a place where they can live peacefully and feel safe. Another cause is personal rights, some people do not have the right to choose their religious and they try to escape religious persecution. More importantly, the most serious effect of immigration is overpopulation and it causes many consequences. For example, air pollution, the employment pressure is more and more big, problems about ethnic, religious are really complicated.

People were so eager to immigrate to America for better working condition, better housing, and better education. I am an international student from china, although I am not an emigrant but the purpose that I come to the US is for better education too. From the experience of studying abroad, I think I also attain independence, broaden my horizon and meet with friends from all over the world. We try to understand culture difference and learn from each other’s.

On the other hand, it causes series of problems, such as, the deterioration of environment, overcrowding, decrease in the quality of education, and racist. Nowadays, there are a lot of illegal emigrants who risk their lives in order to come to America. The way for immigrants is very hard and dangerous, their new lives in America are not good, and they have to hide from people, do laborious works to make a living. In conclusion, illegal immigration might not be a decent choice, developed countries should try to help ending poverty of developing countries as much as possible, to build a harmonious and equal world.
