According to the VALS survey my primary type was experiencers for the

assessment and after the reading the description about this group of consumers, I do believe that they are the accurate behaviors of my lifestyles. This group of people “have high resources and a Self-Expression motivation” which is completely true about the about me. I have a tendency to collect many things that is related to fashion and other artistic stuff. Following fashion trends is important given where I work right now, and it is also an outlet to express myself, which helps me participate in many activities where fashion is involved. I do love any kind of physical activities and outdoor recreation. I am very spontaneous, have tendencies to go with the flow type behavior. I work as a visual/ floor support at HM so I feel like I have a high sense of visual stimulation due to the fact that keeping up with trends and having those trends seen on the windows are important part of my job.

Also based on the results my secondary type was innovators, and depictions about this consumer group are also true. We are future oriented, experiment new things and have a wide variety of interests, I have so many interests that I have tried going for many of interests and haven’t accomplished many of those. I enjoy problem solving questions either at work or school, it excites me. Tend to shop for unnecessary things if that means making a “highest number of financial transactions” then very true.

Marketing can use this information to have consumers appeal their products by understanding the behaviors and lifestyles of each consumer groups and providing with products that these consumers are likely to have in their life. For example experiencer group of consumers are very self-motivated and need and outlet to express their self either through outdoor activities or fashion.
