Nowadays, number of students trying to apply for foreign universities after graduating from their high school is increasing. Most of the students prefer studying abroad than locally as better quality of a diploma. Besides, there are not many varieties for them to choose for a suitable university in their hometown and also some specific courses they had chosen is not available at there. It seems that it is better to study overseas and to some people, studying abroad sounds like a dream. However, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Studying abroad has more advantages than disadvantages.

To begin with, students who studying abroad will have a perfect chance to improve their English. At first, most of the students will feel that it was embarrassing to speak in English as they scare their pronunciation during communication was not accurate. They are no fluent in English and may have a difficult time to talk with their lectures and classmates. They always are comparing themselves with others. However, they will slowly adapt into this new environment and had no choice but have to speak in English in order to communicate with others. This helps to improve their command of English on a daily basis. They themselves need to encounter the language barrier to become more comfortable speaking in English. Furthermore, students who studying abroad will gain a character building experience. They came to know how its feel to live alone without friends and family members. They have to be independent since no one is going to do anything for them. They have to learn how to cook, live and travel on their own. They need to manage their time well and find a balance between studying and playing. Hence, they need to have strong self-control. They also need to manage their own finances. Now is the time for them to take responsibility to pay bills despite of rely on their family. Living in a new country, they should familiarize themselves with various living expenses
