Time to play the Game

It was a Tuesday that was wrong in every aspect. I was really sick that day and still with an injury, I was not looking forward to going to my extremely long classes that Tuesday morning. What I was hoping for was for the upcoming trip to Longview, Texas in what was our fourth game of the 2012 season. I did manage to skip one class though, and not because I wanted to, but because I just wasn’t physically able to get up from my bed. But in the end I ended up going to my next class, which I am going to be honest, made me really mad being in the sick condition that I was in. Nevertheless I became part of a pretty interesting experiment in which we learned about the different classes and about the “rich people’s” power.

It is interesting to say that once people reach the top they will do anything in their power to make sure they stay there. Those that are in the bottom try to deal their way up to the top of the pyramid, sometimes making it worse for themselves. I decided it was best not to trade, especially since I was fortunate enough to get a good amount of points after selecting my chips. Which some people are completely like that. They take what they are given and try to move on by themselves. There were others that did not made any trades as well, and all they did was stay in the bottom of the pack. This activity was a good illustration of how people are different when it comes to being in certain economic classes. Some may be happy of being at the very bottom, just like others might hate the bottom and look to the best opportunity to get to the top. There were many guys that traded so well that they were able to get the biggest jump from the lowest class all the way to the highest class. And although it was only a game, those that took it real seriously often were the ones that got to where they wanted to be. The other thing was deciding to give the extra 3 point chips to selected members
