                                Everybody Should Play the Great Game of Football

 Being under the lights on a Friday night game is a very exciting moment in your life. Getting   older you would miss all the fun, great times you had with your family. The game of football is something that is very exciting to watch and play (K). A lot of people think that this game is for extremely good athletes, and people who can hit hard. It doesn’t matter if you’re a male, a female, big or small. Football can be a very huge impact in your life (K). I know because I’ve played this game since I was little and still do to this day. I will treasure every moment for the rest of my life, and you could, too. So, that’s why you should play the great game of football (Covey).          

    One of the greatest things about being a football player is that you become a part of a family (K).  When teams have gone through off season workouts, spring workouts to summer, then eventually two-a-days, they become bonded. This bond is like a big brother-little brother bond and we look out for each other more than ever; nothing would ever tear us apart. We all share the same desire for the game of football. Some people might hate on each other, but during the season they work their way up into liking one another and becoming friends on the field and off the field.

      After the season is over, everyone is angry because it’s time to turn in our gear. When the summer hits and the two-a-days come around we love it. Every football player that I know, or anyone that plays football would agree with me that two-a-days suck. Those hot, long practices in full gear were very awful. When school officially starts, the practices become shorter and you progress more throughout the season. Some people hated practice and can’t blame them, but practicing gets you better and makes you the player you want to be.

  The best thing I think people are always excited about is game day. After the long, hard weeks of practice, and it’s time to see how your team does Friday night against your opponent. There is nothing better than preparing to walk onto the field in front of your screaming and yelling fans knowing that you get the opportunity to see how good you are against your match up (Covey). This provides not only awesome team spirit, but it also provides the home team with an advantage. During the game, the “trash talk” and opposing team’s will to win drive the players harder than anything else. The game itself is something that every player always enjoys (K).  Players will mess up at any time on the field, and there is always an opportunity later in the game to make up for it. If you have experienced this, you can relate to it.
