In the article “Scope Management Using Project Definition Rating Index” illustrates that many projects faced failure since they have an issue with making scope to progress projects and they have misconception or ignoring for the requirements that required to develop the scope. Thus, poor scope causing collapse projects (1997). In 1994, CII team established a simple and easy tool to manage and measure the scope definition which is Project Definition Rating Index (PDRI). PDRI is weighted around 70 definitions for the scope that has made projects in progress status (Dumont, Galbson, Flesh, 1997). This tool is significant in the global projects since it saves around 19 % of cost with high level and about 40% of schedule with high level as well which is positive effect on the project’s outcome (Dumont, Galbson, Flesh, 1997).

        The best description of PDRI tool is that designed as a checklist, it contents from 70 ingredient divided into three sections which are project decision, front and end definition and the approach of execution, likewise, it has fifteen factors and it can perfectly fit with small and massive projects (Dumont, Galbson, Flesh, 1997). Project Definition Rating Index has been determining helpful for the project team to follow the scope, and remarkable way to connect the owner with the manager (Dumont, Galbson, Flesh, 1997)
