Exercise – 1 :  NAVIGATION

Objective

The exercise is designed to help the student acquire the ability to effectively search and navigate in the SAP CRM information system.

  1. Learn about toolbars in SAP

Step-1: Using the below picture as a reference please write down names of two icons in the Standard Toolbar and/or Menu Bar.

Standard Toolbar: Log off

                          Print

Menu Bar:  Edit

                Help

Step-2: Write down the transaction, system, and client details using the Status Bar. (Hint: Expand arrow in far right).

Transaction: SESSION_MANAGER

System: CR1

Client: 800

  1. Learn how to open a new window

Step-1: Enter /o in the command field using the Standard Toolbar to open a new screen in a different window. Open as many sessions as you can. How many screens/sessions can be opened at one time in a single login?

Step-2: Close all of these sessions except the last one, stay logged in. Enter /o in the command field using the Standard Toolbar to open a new screen in a different window. Write down the number in the bracket after the system ID (CR1) in the Status Bar, which is the number of the screen you are working on.

Hint: Please go to status bar and don’t bother about what you see on the page.

Step-3: Click on the Master Data menu path. In the same window. Enter /n in the command field in the Standard Toolbar. What happened?

3) Navigate to the WEB GUI

Step-1: Login to the SAP GUI with your Login Id and Password.

Step-2: Right Click on Favorites in SAP Menu and click on Add Other Objects

Step-3: In the new pop-up click on Generic Web Address

Step-5: Enter WEB GUI URL and the Object description as: http://cr1.ucc.uwm.edu:8000/sap/crm_logon?sap-client=800
