Abstract:

‘Convenience’, has been drawing people’s attention along with this fast-changing external environment over the past few years. A healthy and a balance diet were the growing concerns along with the improvement in people’s quality of life; they now play a comparably significant role in people’s decision of food. In order to cooperate and adapt to the face-paced activities people are involved with in their daily routine, they will need an easier and a handier approach in their way of life.

In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of Chinese oversea students in the UK. For those Chinese students who struggle with cooking and are always engaged with university work; they seek ways such as ordering takeaway or eat out for the most of their study time in the UK. However, not many foods in the UK suit their taste since people in china normally have hot meals, in comparison to the UK that a great deal of cold food such as sandwiches or bread is consumed. This has been one of the major problems for those Chinese students who come oversea to study in the UK.

Self-heating meal has drawn a lot of attention when it was first released in China. Therefore, in the UK, where there are no competitors in the marketplace, this will bring not only the Chinese oversea students convenience in food consumption, but also bring a whole new idea to the UK.
