Executive Summary

In general, the objective of this assignment is to prepare the following three outputs in order to open a retail store. By identifying the key factors that help to achieve success of a retail store, it is going to be produced following cohesive plans:  

  • Store plan – in this plan, it will be provided the store layout drawings which will describe the main parts of the store, including entrance, shelves, signs, equipments and etc. and a stock list matched to location.
  • Human Resource Plan (HRP) – this plan will illustrate who is going to be employed for the retail store, including their job descriptions and qualifications. In addition, in the HR plan it will be outlined the strategy of how human resources are going to be managed and motivated by different ways and narrative dealing with its strengths and weaknesses.
  • Positioning Plan (PP) – here will be provided target segmentation of the store, product line, store atmosphere and design, analyzing of the clothing industry, pricing decision and some recommendations on how to promote the store.    

Introduction

All the time, there was a high demand for men’s clothes in every part of the world. Clothing is one of the highly developed retail sectors in Uzbekistan, especially in Tashkent city. Therefore, it was decided to open a retail men’s classic clothing store in Tashkent city. The established brands of clothing boutiques in Tashkent are frighteningly competitive.  In order to break into this market, the manager of the new boutique has to look hard to find a gap and, even then, it will take a lot of work and resources to make it succeed.
