Point System

Administration:

In the team grading point system for Team Squared, each member will be assessed on a 4-point scale as per the Criteria for Evaluating Team Member Performance. Grades are given on a weekly basis except for attendance. Attendance points rely upon how many meetings we have per week (sum of all attendance points divided by how many meetings we had that week). We will follow a calendar week of Sunday (beginning) to Saturday (end). Grades will be given starting on February 20th and ending on May 3rd. Grades will not be given during Spring Break (March 13-19) which will total 10 weeks.

The point system is broken down into five categories: Attendance, Participation, Work Ethic, Honor, and Team Deadlines. Daniel, the team Historian, is in charge of putting all points into the system. Each Saturday, David will double check to see that all points have been entered and that the weekly totals do not exceed ‘4’ for any member.

At the end of each meeting, we will individually evaluate each team member based on contribution and performance. The sheets will be collected by the Historian who will then record the average of each individual’s evaluation.

Calculation:

Grades are calculated on an individual basis and final grades will be adjusted according to the highest grade in the group. At the end of the 10 weeks, any ‘unearned’ individual points will be divided by 6 and added to each member’s grade as a built in curve.

1. On Saturday, the sum of all categories will be divided by 5(for the 5 categories) to give each member their own weekly total which will never exceed 4. This will be done each week.

2. At the end of 10 weeks, each members weekly totals will be averaged.
