Organizational Behavior

During the last orientation, I had a very impressive experience for how a group working together. It was a quite new experience for me. And I was so excited to have a chance to work with different kinds of people. First day, Professor put us to be a team. And we were both a little shy to meet each other. Because we had a German, two Chinese and two Americans in our group. And we have 3 different kinds of race: 2 white people, 2 yellow people and 1 black people. It was amazing to have so many differences in our group. However, we did a good job at the end of that week.

I made up of our team name with 5-Gen, it was means 5 General which was coming from the old Chinese history. I hoped that we could all become a general in the business. I’m a kind of person who is much more aggressive. I always keep myself thinking all the time. And not just on thinking, I also prefer to make what I think comes true. My teammates all agree with that I’m so aggressive so that always do the works before they made decision. Sometime when they were arguing with the issues which we needed to think about, I was sitting there and listening their opinions, giving my ideas and trying to organize our opinions together. Then I do the math and the number stuff. So I always kept or simulation be on progress and never stopped by some baulks. I like to try things out to see whether it works or not. I’m not a theory guy. Sometime I want to try some risk to find whether these are any other ways which can lead us to our goal. However, to be aggressive all the time is not a good personality for the whole group. And this is what I learn from our group experience. I need to think about how the things will going before I start to do it. I need to hear others advise which may help me to correct my mistake in my decision. I’m good at to convince others to believe what I am talking about is reasonable.
