How would you organize the following organizational levels for Qianhu?
- Company Code
A company represents an independent accounting entity which has its own financial statements. Since Qian Hu has 10 subsidiaries, it would have 10 company codes.
- Business Area
Qianhu has 3 core business activities which are
1) Ornamental Fish
2) Aquarium and Pet accessories
3) Plastics
Therefore it will have 3 business areas.
For Qianhu Singapore, how many chart of accounts do you think the subsidiary will have?
It will have 3 chart of accounts:
1) Operative COA – To record day-to-day transaction
2) Country Specific COA – To enable companies to meet the country specific requirements (e.g different currency used)
3) Group COA – For Consolidation purposes.
