The M&S is basically UK based company and faced the issues during closure of its function in France; because institutional perspectives of the both countries are different from each other, therefore, while the closure of M&S store in France, legal, political and social issues arose. The case of the closure of M&S analyzed briefly in light of institutional perspectives and how the M&S top management faced the issues while the closure of M&S in France.

Keeping view the case and institutional perspectives of both countries I have suggested International human resource management strategy and orientation for Marks and Spencer. The international HRM strategy -matching and adapting human resource practices and polycentric philosophy- I have recommended to M&S. If they adopted this they might not have the problems and neither they get failed during the closure of M&S stores in France.

In the end, I have recommended that HR manager in headquarter should be given the training about the institutional perspectives and labor laws of the countries where Marks and Spencer is having its units/subsidiaries.
