Your views/arguments about the adequateness of the movie’s perspective on business ethics

My arguments is about on the WTO. WTO is the successor to the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) which established at the end of the Second World War to eliminate tariffs and trade barriers. They need aware of the people’s ethical in the country. They need to Establish a Global Ethics Training Program for the people. They need to have a Morally Sensitive Cultural Education for the people in a country. WTO must be aware of of the cultural differences in the countries in which they do business. Second, they need to Present a Rational Dialogue such as debating.

The government in that movie should use a Descriptive Ethics to present a fact of the WTO. It can make the people understand about it. No interpretation of the facts or assumptions concerning. There is a Utilitarianism and Ethical Egoism between the demonstrator and the mayor.  Sigwick’s Dualism can be fill the gap in between Utilitarianism and Ethical Egoism. If Mayor realize about his wrong doing, he must be sure to cancel the meeting of the WTO and the release of all those being held. Utilitarianism occurs as the demonstrator.

Even though we know what happened after the protests, the WTO still exists, and massive protests are still only a moderately successful way of drawing attention. Jay can’t afford another arrest before being thrown into jail forever, so the last 20 minutes of the movie hinge on whether or not the activists’ lawyer can convince the mayor that the illegal arrests must be overturned. The WTO talks collapsing, thanks to dissent from representatives of poorer countries. Contractarianism occurs when the government hold the agreement with the WTO. The government are in the people’s decision to not to join the WTO.

According to eight ethical principles, the demonstrator should follow the property principle. All the violent they had make, it bring damage to the society. They should respect property as well as the rights of the owners of the property. For the transparency principle, the mayor should conduct a statement in a truthful and open manner. This will deliver the information in accurate way. Dignity principle is on the government to ensuring the human’s right for the people. The government should not breach the law for its own purposes.
