In this assignment, I will be comparing the different types of research methodologies for health and social care.
Research is about finding out new knowledge that could lead to changes in treatments, policies or care. Many different types of research from studies in a scientific laboratory to those observe and examine people with different conditions or develop new treatments. Research might be concerned with preventing disease and promoting good health or finding out people's experience of different services and support in the community.
In order to prove my hypothesis to be true I will conduct several types of research to help me get a variety of different evidence and information from both the media and the public. The following types of research I will conduct are primary research, Secondary research, Quantitative research, Qualitative research.
Primary Research
Primary research is new research, carried out to answer specific issues or questions. It can involve questionnaires, surveys or interviews with individuals or small groups. This will be essential for me to prove my chosen hypothesis as when I hand out my questionnaires i will be able to see what the public think of my chosen topic
