The article does not clearly state a research question. It can be assumed that the article if clearly stated the question would be in reference to whether or not Planned Parenthood is in any form violated and state or federal laws as they are mostly funded through the federal government. The research was conducted by sending out undercover supporters in order to catch Plan Parenthood conducting illegal activities. The design was not appropriate to address the research question due to bias. Because the people who were conducting the research are opposed to the federal funding of the organization it can be said that their motives won’t be in favor of Planned Parenthood. An independent variable in research is some that the researcher can change. In the design of research the Center for Medical Progress can change and or manipulate or edit the footage they obtain. Dependent variable may be numbers that the researcher can change after the independent variable is changed. The dependent variables were not clearly identified within the article.
