Strengths Paper

Every individual has personal strengths and weaknesses that shape his or her personality. One has to fully understand and be able to use their strengths and weakness in a positive way to succeed in life. Our everyday life- whether at work or at home- is affected by how we use our strengths and weaknesses (Baumgardner & Crothers, 2009). We can improve our strengths and work on our weakness to achieve positive goals in life. Most successful people know this and work on their weaknesses to bring significant improvements.

My Five Highest Strengths

I believe that life is a learning experience and being able to recognize our own strengths and weaknesses can help us become better individuals in anything we choose to do, whether it is positive abilities and skills that can help achieve our goals or negative personal areas that need improvement. Knowing yourself and what you can do, can help you recognize and overcome your weaknesses (Baumgardner & Crothers, 2009). My five highest strengths was teamwork, honesty, curiosity, love of learning, and leadership.  My greatest strength is teamwork, meaning that I work well as a member of a group or team. My fifth greatest strength is leadership, meaning taking on a role of leading a group.

I also provide advice, suggestions, and words of encouragement to my team if there is a need for it. I feel as though these strengths are fairly important when it comes to making a lasting impression within the workplace.
