In the modern era everything is currently changing. From the food we eat,to the clothes we buy, to the things we enjoy. But the fastest changing thing is technology. Companies can now use our fast changing technology to track what we like, buy and where we are, with or without our consent. Companies and businesses big or small should not be able to invade our privacy so easily without approval from customers.

The internet is now a big part of how technology is helping companies invade the public’s privacy. When you like or buy something from an online website they store all of the information. Such as what you bought, what you like and your email. So they can send you emails based on your information. These companies can even look at your social media through your email and facebook. By doing this they can find what other websites you have been looking at and from which you have been buying products. (Text 2, lines 20-40) Most companies don't even let the consumers know that they are tracking and watching them. Although there are ways to opt out most people either don't notice them or essentially don't realize. I believe that this is a form of privacy invasion by the companies.

Something even more unbelievable is the fact that something called RFIDS [radio frequency information device] can collect location information and can help with food and product recalls. And can also help with seeing what is being recycled (Text 3, lines 10-20) But unfortunately because RFID’s cannot discriminate against what information they're getting, the consumer cannot opt out. (Text 3, lines 15-50) This now becomes an issue because the consumer has no idea what is going on and it is a total and complete privacy invasion. RFID’s can also read inside the consumers home which is against the law. (Text 3, lines 40-50) So it should definitely be overruled as a marketing strategy.
