Intuition vs. Reason

Ethics

Malcolm Gladwell, says “that intuition can be called forth in snap decisions or the blink of an eye”. I think that Gladwell is right because sometimes you have to make decision out of nowhere and you have to do it drastic so intuition and hunches always helpful. Sometimes it’s something with not much importance where your hunch or decisions won’t affect you drastically but just like everything else there is always a bad outcome if the decision is not the correct one. Everyone has had a case where they have to base decisions on hunches or intuitions. In my case I I’m going to talk about how I’ve made choices based on reasons rather than feelings. I chose to move in with my significant other based on the situation, based on reasons rather than feelings. My reason had to be drastic and quick and based on how my relationship was with him at the time I made a choice. And I based my decision on how used to I was having this person around, and not on how I felt about the situation I didn’t have much time to think about the outcome and focus on pros and cons on my decision, it would be nice to always have time to think about a solution or decisions all the time. Well in my case I felt that at the end I made a bad choice and my intuition didn’t turn out like I wished it would. I think that if we took more time to know each other and figure out how someone is you can base decisions on intuition and your option will turn out different. I do believe that intuition can develop with time and it is a combination of reason and feelings, those are always major reasons for any choice made.
