Introduction

Forming a team mandated with the task of developing of an important project needs careful considerations. The people chosen for the team should meet the particular specifications for the project. They should have all the necessary skills required to meet the goals and objective s of the project. While doing the selections, the manager of project leader should look beyond the qualifications outlined in the packs of papers presented before his desk. Running such projects also requires people with different skills as well as special abilities and not similarly skilled people. Proper proportioning of the chosen people will help in making a project successful. Additionally, the group members should have good relations in order to work together without any glitches. Several things come into play in selecting this perfect team that will deliver properly and adequately. This paper will outline some of the important measures needed a team for them, not only to meet deadlines, but also to produce quality work. It will also analyze a few cases in order to elucidate other important factors affecting the success of projects.

Project Scenarios

Projects have various parts with each requiring an individual to head operations and ensure delivery. Timelines have major importance and performance measurement can happen in short terms as well as in the long term. The project manager can have the direction a certain project changed in a bid to improving its quality. Taking the position of leading a project might seem as a challenge while it also offers the person responsible with opportunities. Various problems can occur during projects that require the attention of the manager as well as the team members. The common problems facing projects include big requirements with little or no instructions, unmet deadlines, and failure including lack of integration with existing systems. The experiences of Poole reveal a situation where the members of a project as well as coordination failed to meet deadlines and desired outcomes. Additionally, lack of direction presented the project with serious challenges with members marred with confusion on what activity they should undertake.
