The two literary that I have chose to write about ant to also compare and contrast are “ The child of the Americans “ Which is by Aurora Levin Morales and I also chose “ What It like to be a Black Girl” which is said to be by Patricia Smith. These works seem to mainly focus on two women who are of the African background and are of a historical American who show their culture in almost the same way to each other. There is said to be some negative perception on these plays and that is that they are so prejudiced. These two girls who are African American side seem to have on their minds a distorted and also seem to be a little on the misconstrued side. In the poems the two girls show us that the girls show us that people from different sub-cultures can and do see themselves in a way different perspective then others seem to see them at. When you read it real closely you can see that one of the girls really show that their culture and her image is all about slave owners for that is where she comes from and when you look at it closely you can see that the other girl is all about the African heritage. In the one poem called “ What’s it like to be a Black Girl” you can see that they are in the mind of a blck girl who is trying to figure out then racism that she has and is also trying to find out why people are so discrimination too. When you read itto you can see that this person is trying to and wants to accept the changing that her body is going though and is doing too. Her parents have showed and tought her that you do need and have to be ashamed about who you are, what you have to look like and most of all where you come from. In the poem you can see that all she has wanted and ever wanted is to be kinda like those that live in different in her society.
