A.T. Walden who was an attorney dedicated to fight for the civil right of the blacks was influential in Georgia. Racial segregation and denied rights for the blacks to vote were major practices at this time. It is at this time that Walden helped standardize and negotiate better pay for the black teachers in Georgia. (Williams 2004) 

Land lotteries were a common feature in Georgia and were used for distributing land. Under such a system those that had qualified had a chance to put cast lots that would earn them parcels of lands .Such lands were from the Indians and the Cherokee. (Williams 2004) 

Georgia was marked by the period of growth after the Indians were overpowered. It was a time of economic boost for the planters who were of the white origin. According to the inventions and innovations, there was a new cotton gin that facilitated the growing of short staple cotton. . It is such kind of cotton that promoted cotton boom in Georgia, promoting the demand for slaves to work on the farms. (Williams 2004)

[1]The history of Georgia can be traced from the pre- Columbia era to the present day. The Native Americans occupied the region for more than a century. The Catholic mission work helped shape and establish the Spanish empire late in the 1500s.However, it is worth noting that the Spanish left Georgia and occupied neighboring towns such as Florida. The presence of the Spanish people left some influences that helped shape the future of Georgia. (Williams 2004) 

The name Georgia was derived from the British King George II at the very beginning of the creation of the colony. Slavery, as portrayed in Georgia, was prohibited which was contrary to what was happening in other places. However, with the influence of people such as George Whitfield, slave trade became acceptable. (Williams 2004)

Later, Georgia provided men for the military warfare in what was referred as Chickamauga and won. However, hopes got shattered when Sherman invaded Atlanta. Atlanta got burned and therefore made transportation a problem as it was an important hub for the development of Georgia. However, there was a reconstruction that led to setting up of education centers, social amenities, and economic initiatives.
