Re: Persuasive Memo

Dear Oops,

With the booming tourism industry, the Pacific region will benefit immensely with the introduction of solar-powered boats.  A beautiful tour around each Pacific island is truly breathtaking and a simple boat ride would be enough for an unforgettable experience.

To begin with, the environmentally friendly quality of the boats maintains the very core value of each Pacific island-its natural beauty. The current use of fuel by traditional boats continues to diminish the natural state of the environment and thus, endangers the tourism industry. However, with the region’s tropical climate with abundant amount of energy from the sun, there is absolutely no need for fuel and the harmful effects that come with it when purchased.

Secondly, when introduced, the solar-powered boats will become a necessity for locals because of its versatility. Fishing, travelling, and touring are some of the ways these boats will be utilized by locals and even hotels for luxury cruises and sight-seeing.

Furthermore, with majority of the island nations being surrounded by sea, it ensures a vast market demand for the solar-powered boats. This interprets that it shall yield high profits and revenues for your company throughout the Pacific Ocean. This may even in fact lead small Pacific island countries to flourish economically.

On the other hand, in every new market environment, there are challenges. The first challenge is the transportation of the boats along with the costs attached. Another hurdle may be maintaining consistency with government laws, registration policies, pricing, currency, taxes, and stability. Also, the threat of existing fuel-powered boat companies may be an issue.

Fortunately, our company faces these types of issues every day and we deal them accordingly. We hope you take our proposal into consideration and we look forward to working together in the future.
